Perl incorporates features of awk, sed, C and more to make a powerful, flexible, easy to use programming language suitable for many tasks including system administration and distributed programming, as well as Web/CGI programming. This class is especially useful for programmers, system administrators, and desktop publishers. Among the topics are an introduction to the basics of Perl, the built-in function library, communicating with other applications using Perl, and CGI programming with Perl. Hands on exercises are performed throughout training each day to reinforce key concepts.
