The Sun Certified Web Component Developer (SCWCD) is appropriate for programmers who already have the Sun Certified Programmer Certification. This certification demonstrates proficiency in the development of Java Server Pages (JSP) and the use of servlet technologies (in enterprise Java web development and deployment) as well as dynamic web content management.

Before you can become a Sun Certified Web Component Developer (SCWCD) you must pass the Sun Certified Programmer for the Java 2 Platform exam as well as the following exam. The letter listed on the right hand side of the exam description refers to the HOTT course relevant for that exam.

Students unfamiliar with object oriented analysis and design concepts may also want to attend HOTT's 4-day Object Oriented Analysis & Design with UML class.
